Standards of Expected Student Behavior

Classroom Behavior Consequences

1st = Warning
2nd = Think Time (time out in another classroom)
3rd = Recess Detention
4th = Think Time-Parent Contact (phone call)
5th = Office Referral

Playground Rules

1. Students should walk on the white concrete and run on the blacktop or grass only.
2. Students should stay on the playground area during recess. Teachers will come out to get the students if necessary.
3. Cutting in line or saving places will result in going to the end of the line.
4. Jump ropes are for jumping only.
5. Tackling in never allowed.
6. No throwing wood chips or rocks.
7. Go DOWN the slide only.

When a student chooses not to follow the playground rules, he/she will receive a playground ticket. The Playground Ticket will be filled out by a staff member and submitted to the classroom teacher.

Recess Bell

• Students will freeze at the bell, and then wait for a supervisor’s whistle.
• Students will then walk to their classroom lines.
• Students will keep their hands to themselves as they come to or wait in line.
• After the whistle, drinks or trips to the restroom are only allowed with permission.

Lunch Time

• Students will sit with their class.
• Students should walk from the lunch tables to the playground.
• Food is eaten at the lunch tables and never on the playground.
• Students are to use a quiet voice in the lunch room.
• Good manners are always appropriate.
