Dear Sunset Families,
I have said it before and I will say it again, what an absolute pleasure it is to work with your child(ren) here at Sunset Elementary. Another wonderful school year is quickly coming to a close, and we are so proud of the many accomplishments that have taken place this year. In this letter I would like to explain four important points as we are already preparing for a successful 2016-2017 school year.
1) Will Sunset offer any programs during this upcoming summer?
2) How and when will I hear who my child(ren) will have as a teacher?
3) How will the school communicate with me in future years?
4) When will be our first opportunities to meet our teacher and participate at Back to School Night?
Well, I am so happy you have asked, these are all very good questions.
Sunset will be offering a Summer Leveled Library Check Out Program. This opportunity will be available every Tuesday beginning June 7th with the exception of July 5th. Our doors will be open from 10-12 each Tuesday, please come and check out some great books!
This year Sunset students will have the opportunity to meet their 2016-2017 teacher during the last two days of this school year. It is always exciting to look ahead as we collaborate about our wonderful students, and address many factors for their individual success.
Ninety percent of our communication between home and school is through text and email. If you have not done so already, please visit the school districts website @ washk12.org and fill out the quick informational to opt in for this communication.
Please visit our school website for all pertinent information to Sunset Elementary. Our school website can be found @ sses.washk12.org. It has been a pleasure serving your children and we look forward to next school year. Have an enjoyable and safe summer, and take time to find meaningful learning opportunities throughout the summer months. See you next year!!
