Sunset Elementary School

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are quickly approaching the holiday seasons. Naturally, during this time I often reflect on the many things for which I am thankful. There are so many people that help make Sunset a great place. To an amazing staff…thank you for your constant dedication to doing what is best for kids. To our wonderful parents…thank you for all the support and help you give to your children. To our remarkable students…thank you for working so hard to do your best. Sunset has the best students! To our dedicated volunteers… thank you for all the time you spend helping our school. Your contributions are appreciated. To our dedicated PTA…thank you for your many efforts on the school’s behalf. You do so much to bring our school community together. It takes a team effort to help our students be successful.

We had an extremely high percentage of parents who attended our last SEPs. Thank you for supporting your child and our school. Hopefully, you were able to learn more about the many wonderful programs and teaching practices that your student is experiencing at Sunset.

Thank you for the support you have given to our expanded learning program (after school program). We have had over 300 students attend our intervention and enrichment classes. The school has seen amazing academic progress in our students as a result of these classes. Please contact Mr. Carr or me if you have any suggestions on how we can make our expanded learning program better, or if you would like to teach an enrichment class.
