It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Sunset Elementary School. If I didn’t start by sharing that I am a very fortunate husband of a wonderful young lady whom I cherish, and a very proud father of two little boys that are such a blessing, then I would be starting in the wrong place. I have spent my entire educational career at Sandstone Elementary up to this point. Although I will miss the Sandstone school community very much, having this opportunity is a great honor. My most recent administrative experience has been shaped by successful leadership as an Elementary Title I Site Coordinator, Staff Developer, and as a Classroom Teacher. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to your son/daughter’s school, and to work with you as a partner in education ensuring your child’s success.

Along with our great staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Sunset by building strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community partners. We will focus on character education initiatives, 21st Century skills, fostering a nurturing safe environment for children, use of data to inform instruction, consistent implementation of newly adopted direct instruction strategies to increase students’ achievement, and providing exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities for all students.

I anticipate a most successful future as my team and I support the academic, social, and emotional growth of your child here at Sunset Elementary School.

As we move forward together, it is my hope that we will work together to provide the students of Sunset the best possible opportunities. Sunset Elementary will provide positive role models as we work to reinforce every parents’ desire to raise world class citizens that are ready to master the challenges of the 21st Century.
