I am originally from Cache Valley Utah, where I was born and raised with one sister and five brothers. Growing up, I participated in competitive gymnastics for 12 years. Once I graduated from Sky View High School, I moved to sunny St. George to attend Dixie State College. I met and married my husband, and had my first son while attending College. I graduated with my Elementary Education degree in May of 2005. I began teaching 4th grade here in St. George, and taught for two years before taking a year off to have another baby.
In 2008, I was hired to teacher first grade and to be a reading interventionist here at Sunset Elementary. For the following four years after that, I taught first grade full time. I love working with such amazing people everyday. In the summer of 2013 I had a sweet baby girl who has been the joy of our lives. I enjoy spending time with my family by going on walks, spending time outside, watching my boys play basketball, football, baseball, going to Lake Powell, and swimming as often as possible. I also enjoy digital scrapbooking whenever I have time!

I was born in Centerville, Utah and graduated from Viewmont High school. After high school I attended Southern Utah University. I attended SUU for two years. This is where I began taking education classes. After getting my husband through graduate school and starting a family, I finally finished my bachelors of education with The University of Phoenix. This is my fifth year teaching at Sunset Elementary, and I love it!
I love living in St. George, and don’t think I’ll ever leave. I enjoy spending time in the beautiful outdoors with my husband and three children. We love to swim, ride bikes, and go on hikes. I also enjoy reading and cooking.
It’s a privilege to teach at Sunset Elementary!

Hello, my name is Berkley Platt. I am native to the St. George area and consider myself lucky to have had that opportunity. I come from a family of five with a very large extended family. I attended Desert Hills High School and graduated in the year 2012 where I then went on to attend Dixie State University and graduated in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education and with an endorsement in ESL. I enjoy many sports and outside activities. I played soccer and basketball in my youth and continued playing soccer into my first year at Dixie State University. I come from a family that highly values education and because of this I chose to get my degree in Education. I am so excited to get started in this upcoming school year.
