Mrs. Drummond | Teacher

My Email: jenny.drummond@washk12.org

Mrs. Drummond was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday the 13th!  It has always been her lucky day. She moved to St. George when she was 7 years old. She graduated from Dixie High School. She went on to graduate from Dixie University with her Associates Degree and also her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Drummond graduated from Southern Utah University with her Masters of Education. She also has her endorsements in Reading, ESL (English as a Second Language), Technology, Gifted and Talented, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Mrs. Drummond obviously LOVES learning! She has taught 2nd and 4th grades at Sunset Elementary.

Mrs. Drummond has been married for a really long time to her best friend. Mr. Drummond was born on Halloween, so the Drummonds fit perfectly with Friday the 13th and Halloween! They are the parents to 2 awesome children. Both children are happily married. Mrs. Drummond always wanted 4 children, and now she has them!

Mrs. Drummond loves to read! She is an avid Harry Potter fan (her favorite book series), but she also loves reading the Percy Jackson series to her students. They have fun presenting and performing their Greek Museum every year!

Mrs. Drummond loves to travel, read, go Razor riding with her husband, boating, and shhhh she secretly loves a couple of video games that she plays with her children. And while it cannot be confirmed, the rumor is that she also plays Pokémon Go on occasion.

Mr. Aaron Oliver was born and raised in Fayette, Utah, then moved to the St. George area in his elementary years.  He graduated from Snow Canyon High School in 1996, served an LDS Spanish-speaking mission in Ecuador, then graduated from Dixie College with an Associate's Degree.  After marrying the girl of his dreams, Mr. Oliver attended Weber State University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.    He began teaching 6th grade at Beaver Dam Elementary in 2003, then taught 5th grade at Dixie Sun Elementary for eight years.  Mr. Oliver has taught 3rd and 4th graders at Sunset Elementary and has thoroughly enjoyed being part of the faculty since 2013.

Mr. Oliver is the lucky father of five spectacular children.  He enjoys reading fiction, watching movies, playing the occasional video game, and spending time with his family.  His goal as a teacher is to instill a passion for reading in his students.  Jackie Robinson is his hero and Roald Dahl is his favorite author.  If you've never read the Harry Potter series, he will not be offended, but will recommend that you add it to your bucket list.

Mrs. Sizemore has wanted to be a teacher since she was in fourth grade. Now she teaches fourth grade, and loves each of her students.

She started teaching as a reading aide and later in Special Education in 1994 while taking classes to receive her Associate's degree. Later, her mentor teacher, Mrs. Emma Fife, suggested that she continue her studies and get a Bachelor's degree so she could teach full time. She graduated in 2004 and was hired here at Sunset that August as the ESL coordinator. Mrs. Sizemore taught ESL for two years, then Third grade for five years, First grade for three years and now Fourth grade for three years and counting.

Mrs. Sizemore says, "Sunset has a very supportive, loving environment which makes it a wonderful workplace!"
