Mrs. Forcier | TeacherMy Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I would love to tell you a little bit about myself and my life in special education.
My oldest son is a young adult with Down syndrome! He attended school in the Washington County School District from 1st grade through Post High School, and it was an incredible journey.
I have volunteered in the community many times with groups of people who help those with Down syndrome and other special needs. I was the Southern Utah Area Coordinator for Special Olympics for ten years, where I had the opportunity to coach over 100 athletes with many different disabilities.
The world of adoption and foster care has also impacted our family, and it is another interest of mine. I currently participate in many groups that benefit children who have come from “hard places” and help in their journey of adoption. I am very interested in the impact of trauma and mental health on children, especially in the educational setting.
My Bachelor's Degree is in Accounting, but a couple of years ago I decided to follow my true love of being a special educator and so I went back to school to get my teaching license. I now have a Master of Education degree in Special Education. It is so beautiful to sit next to parents and plan an individual education plan with their children and give them hope for their journey. I can genuinely say I have been there and understand their world!

Mr. Woodruff | Speech TherapistMy Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I was born the first of four boys in the cold desert of Provo Utah.
I grew up all over the country and even spent time in Germany. I have lived in over 40 different places in my life and love to travel. Some of these travels led me to Russia for a couple years in which I learned to speak semi-fluent Russian.
This will be the start of my twelfth year as a speech language pathologist. I really enjoy helping kids find their voices and providing them with confidence to communicate with others.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking, reading, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy going to the movies.
I have a strong passion for learning new things. It is always a good day to learn and try something new. I’m so excited to find myself another year at Sunset!
